There are many ways to serve.

You can be the calm in the storm, the level-headed leader… whatever your status in society. Set your best example.

I shall put people at ease - play matchmaker, even. I’ll lift those who need it into the light.

Empower me. Reveal the truth and lies I need to know. What am I missing? What do I need in order to be whole?

I’ll help you sail downriver. One must feel safe enough to flow with the passage of life.

Yes, there are many ways to serve - and together, we’ll create a heaven on earth.

Inspired by the Eyrie’s ‘Tarot Tales’, I utilised some elemental imagery in this drabble - the classical elements, I mean. In no particular order, it’s this: you can be Earth, I shall be Air, you empower me with Fire, I’ll help you with Water.

One day, I’ll write something similar using the actual elements. I naturally lean more to the humanities than the sciences, but I’m up for a challenge.

Balance is important. You can see some of this belief, above: four elements and two people, working together to improve the world around them.

I wish it could always be like this. Sometimes, however, you need to stand your ground - hopefully for something worthwhile.
